That people could vote across party and racial lines for the candidate whom they believe, is the better man for the job, is a testament to the greatness of the American citizenry. When a government focuses on the development of great people,
great things will be the result.

This should be the lesson to the government of Trinidad and Tobago. You do not build great buildings, a great stadium and great interchanges with the hope that these things will change the mindset of our people.

When the human potential of our country is developed, when the government creates in our people, a sense of self worth, that every single life, young or old, rich or poor, is important and that we all have a stake in the future of our country, only then, will great things will happen for us.
