talk about irresponsible parents...it's somewhat ridiculous on some parents' part to bring in an overweight little 5 year old boy/girl to me for weight loss and say to me, "and tell him to stop buying the KFC all the time eh."

i mean..seriously, does that child drive himself/herself over to KFC and pull out his/her wallet to buy it? And in addition..knowing fully well that your child's health is at risk because of his/her weight..do you really need me to tell you simple stuff like that?! lol...sometimes i can't help but wonder at the intelligence of some parents.
Then again, some parents don't really take responsibility for themselves, far more their children..but that's another topic, isn't it? :)

Some children really are beyond the "oh he's so cute n chubby phase", so when i say weight loss, i mean it for those seriously in need of it - e.g. diabetic children or cardiac children who are OBESE. So, if your child/ little bro or sis or cousin needs to lose weight, here are some really simple first steps:
-start exercise...sitting in front the tv/ video games/computer isn't going to help. it's pretty simple and a skipping rope or bicycle or football is a pretty easy way.

-cut down on the amount of fast food eaten - for those who wonder what this is: KFC, pizza, church's chicken, popeye's, marios, burger king, etc (u get the idea rite?!)

-use more water as a beverage instead of all the sodas and sweetened juices

-use fruits or popcorn or unsweetened jellos as healthy snacks instead

and there are more ways...but these i believe are fairly easy to follow or start with? no? hope it'll be of some use or help to someone out there (and of course these guidelines can apply to adults as well! :)
