Comming from a family that

Comming from a family that has a few Police Officers I can tell you that if it involves the woman with the child crying abuse - REGARDLESS if its true or not the man WILL get the shaft.

The reason for this is because of the frightening up surge in domestic violence in this country.....

Not only are the police

Not only are the police unfair, but it is our whole "philosophical" way of thinking in Trinidad and Tobago. If a man were to go to the police and complain about his wife abusing him, the Police officer taking the complaint will call about 10 other police officers to laugh at him, and laugh him out of the station! Thats just our "Trini" way! But in general, the Laws in T&T favour a woman especially in the marriage laws. Thats just because there has been no real amendments to it..but so be it!

well the issue with my bro

well the issue with my bro wasn't domestic, it was actually an accident where the police acted totally the opposite to what I expected. My bro was on a major road, some woman had a child in the car, she was suppose to stop since there was a stop line and apparently she didn't, so basically when my bro make the corner, she roll over the stop line, so she front scratch bounce the back right of our car. You know the damn police man ask my brother "So if you on the major road and you see a car, you not going to stop?". This piss me off, since this same lady tell me she went over the white line and end up telling the police she tires was on the white line. ALSO, she walk with she sleeping child in the police station (I assume for the police to pity she). ALSO, it had a very strange part where the constable make one of the policemen go out to check the car with us so we followed him outside.. after we reach outside to check it, he look at it and he didn't say anything... so I thought that was weird that he didn't comment.. only to think back that the woman and the other police fools was talking inside the police station.

During the conversation, the police and them say how they not suppose to say who wrong and who right... you know at the end of it, them accuse my brother of taking the corner hard?

So I ask them, so why it can't be that she roll over the white line, well like the fools get schupid when I ask them that.

Then some schupid police woman who wasn't even wearing she uniform look to ask me in a real rude voice "You was there or what?". So my mother blaze she for that, meh mom ask she "You was there or what?". Anyways, I end up calling the police woman rude and she shut she mouth.

I could tell you since I drive there often that my bro was on the major road, there was no stop sign or stop line, he proceeded until he bent the corner in which the schupid woman apparently didn't seem him coming around the corner and she roll forward. Not to mention, she had a damn child in the car, she coulda be distracted. I sorry to say, I will never trust police in my life.

But don't worry, if it was a bad accident, I would take all of them to court. I gone in the police station and them treat people like they is dog... even dogs have their day.

Most of the police service in Trinidad is a big waste of time AND they damn uneducated too with it - I sorry if I sound mean but the truth does hurt.

My dear friend, i am sorry

My dear friend, i am sorry to hear of this development, all i can say is remember the motto of the police, to Protect and Serve...themselves...they are believers in the Golden rule..."those who have the Gold, make the rules" that is akin to those who are considered in our country as "Mr & Mrs. Big" who always have the GOLD and make the rules! Now with regards to your situation, I have always found it quite interesting, that, "every dog has it's day" as well as, "what goes around, comes around"..be that as it may, I have always believed that there is a God, and dont mind he wears pajamas - striped ones too...he DOH sleep! These "Officers" ooooppps...I mean, "Occifers" too will have their day. It is a pity when the law abiding citizenry have to "pay" for the uneducated and simple minded simpletons that are our police service. But, as I said, what goes around comes around, and if you believe, it comes around even harder the next time!

Chemyst, thanks for

Chemyst, thanks for understanding my side and btw wow, you are an excellent writer... you didn't even have to use words like "damn" the way I did to share your view well, nuff respect there man!

I want to just clarify to everyone that we don't look down at people who didn't get proper education but we cannot deny the fact that some people without education act a bit less logical (or irrational) than those with education (the same applies to some people who have education and simply don't use the gift)

Thank you my liege! I do

Thank you my liege! I do appreciate your worthy comments, but i am a simple person, trying to get through this thing called life. I do believe we are here to serve, and to help others.

I loved your last entry there, "we cannot deny the fact that some people without education act a bit less logical (or irrational) than those with education (the same applies to some people who have education and simply don't use the gift)" That is such a wonderful description and summation of life in Trinidad and Tobago...it isn't funny.

Please if there is anything in life worth doing, its to keep this site going.

What Police station was

What Police station was this?

I am in total disgust - and again coming from a family with Police officers in it i can say without a doubt that the only time the police is suppose to make comments in a traffic matter is and I quote "to advise both parties that upon conclusion of their investigation into the matter at hand if it is determined that any party contravened any traffic laws the necessary charges will be laid against you"

So the real question is - which police officer is this person related to?

Aye Raven, like I missed the

Aye Raven, like I missed the part where you said you came from a family with police officers... well I sure you know what does be going on in the police service. One of my padnas used to tell me all kinda stories (he was a police officer, he left it tho).

You right, is either she sleeping with a policeman, have family who is a policeman/woman, or the police felt sorry for her (which technically isn't justice) OR and I want to put a big OR probably they were biased because of the colour of my skin (I am not a racist but I really have to wonder what really took place in that police station... it was a very odd scenario and very very fishy). The worse of the worse, my mind swayed and I wondered how much Trigonometry these policemen and policewomen (with no training as in manners) had.

They seemed to ASSUME too much things there.
