So i talking to a pardner of mine last night who works for a Electrical Import co. in Arima, and he was telling me the boss tell everyone that they hadda take a 5% paycut from Jan'09 as one of the moves to reduce expenditure and keep all staff employed, due to the 50% devaluation of their main import copper and other goods.
He don't even know about a bonus again !
Anyone going through similar situations or hearing through d grapevine what going on in your co ?

The Express reported over
The Express reported over 1100 cell phones were seized from our local prisons. Rumour has it that one prisoner hid his phone up his rectum and had a fart as a ring tone so when his phone rang, now one knew. The prisoner reported however that the reception was crappy!

As for me we introduced a pay for performance incentive programme where staff could get up to 3 times their monthly salary.
So far only a handful of persons have acheived a "2.5" bonus - NO ONE acheived the rating needed to get a 3...
Oh well.....
