Hey everyone, well the other day, my girlfriend and I went to TGIs in Gulf City. You know my famous quote is "WHEY". Well all I could say is "WHEY". Now you might be a fan of TGI but I have to wonder why... I'll explain.....
So we ordered some buffalo wings which tasted pretty good, got 4 wings which we paid more than $40 if I recall properly... yup... so anyways, my gf ordered some chicken strips special... chicken strips, fries. Now here is the catch, the food "LOOKS" good but when I bit down on those chicken strips expecting to get a seriously tasty treat, the thing tasted like they didn't season it - water does taste better than those chicken strips.
Anyways, so I greedy.. I ordered the burger.. I think they call it the "FAMOUS TGI CHEESE BURGER"... It "LOOKED" tasty and when I bite down on that, I could personally vouch then I never going back to TGIs again. Like them eh know nothing about seasoning... Burger King tastes better than that piece of BLEEP. In fact, one bite out of a Burger King burger beats eating that whole cheese burger from TGIs. I am still shocked - Even the cheese on the burger was tasteless. Uncle Sams makes better burgers than dem! Shame on TGI!
Now sorry to say, is only then I realise that a lot of rich people don't know what food is and not only that, lesson #2 was, it doesn't have to cost more to taste better... I must be schupid to pay another 250 dollars going to buy so called "posh" food when KFC, doubles, BARBQUE in la romaine does beat that by far. Now you might be vex with me by now but I not cheap... there is a fine line between paying plenty for something and just simply being stupid. Last but not least, if you like their food, I respect that as its a matter of taste but if you going there to show off that you eat TGIs... I goh laugh at you.
SO to TGIs in Gulf City, I have to give all yuh a personal B.S laugh. BTW, the setting there isn't really nice, you basically have a set of drunkards watching yuh woman right next to you while you trying to eat... oh gorm... I could go in a bar anyday to get that kind of setting and better yet, pay nothing to sit with people who do that. On the upside, their deserts are excellent!
I rate TGIs a small 1 out of 5 stars... hopefully I might have better luck at another one (if I ever decide to risk 200+ dollars)
