Good day to all my readers and especially the few fans I have lol Today, I would like to briefly share my opinion with you about the problems facing IT related jobs in Trinidad and Tobago. So this will be short and sweet and of course, technology based at times.

Problems facing IT employees

1. There seems to be a lack of any form of respect for IT jobs and I see this happening alot when it relates to higher management views towards IT personnel. In other words, it seems management of companies don't seem to respect IT personnel since they are generally below in the hierarchy. This is dangerous and not in the best interest of management.

2. Most Trinidadians and Tobagonians believe that they are computer literate simply because they can do basic tasks.

I realised I write the less read article section on the site so far lol Its kind of funny and ironic because most people hate getting viruses on their computers but thank you for taking the opportunity to read my article. This article will give you a basic understanding of firewalls.

First and foremost, we have to define what a firewall is. This however, is not easy task and if you do a search in google for such a definition, you may be overwhelmed with some of the highly complicated answers. So, let me change to my Trini accent. "Lewwe talk firewalls". A firewall for all intents and purposes is an application or device which monitors and controls data coming to and from a network (this is my definition eh (c) Risharde R. lol) - that simple eh?

What is a Trojan Virus

Most people I've come across don't even ask the question "What will happen if someone gets into my computer?". Well I hope that this article opens your eyes to extensive possibilities of computer virus infections.

So, as the title says above, "What is a trojan virus". Well a trojan virus is a little application or program that installs itself on your machine, normally found on warez / illegal sites or sent to you from someone interested in getting information from your computer. You would normally infect your self by trying to open the file which normally has a .exe file extension. This is why you should always think twice before opening .exe files that you don't know about or don't trust.

A Trojan Virus works in the same way client server architecture programming works. The virus itself is a server application (which means it provides services).
